DIGITAL STRATEGY OF THE CENTER

 
In the first year of the degree, we did 3 weeks of practice. I have done them in scola el Bosc de la Pabordia, a public educational center for Kindergarten and Primary Education in Girona. During the time that I was there, I asked for the Estratègia Digital del Centre (EDC).
The Estratègia Digital del Centre defines and specifies how the center promotes the achievement of both students and teachers in digital competence. This document includes organizational, methodological, curricular, and communicative aspects that are involved or that need to be transformed to guarantee technological innovation and the continuous improvement of the school’s digital competence. 

At the school I went to, the EDC is published on the center’s website and consists of two sections: the strategic part and digital culture. 

The first section begins with an evaluation of the school's digital proficiency, leading to the proposal of goals and a plan for their monitoring and assessment. The initial two components of this section are already in place, while the remaining parts are still being developed.

The second section discusses the school's utilization of technology in their daily operations. This includes digital literacy, using technology as a communication tool with families, and setting up Google Drive accounts for students and staff, among other initiatives.

In addition to the Digital Strategy of the Center, I also reviewed the Center’s Educational Project to check for any references to ICT. I found that the school encourages a critical approach to technology use among students.

Lastly, it is noteworthy that the school's teachers are organized into various committees, one of which is focused on technology. The teachers informed me that this committee receives external guidance from experts, as the school acknowledges the increasing importance of ICT and aims to implement it effectively.
